Grouping in datatabels (gridView)

A customer came up with the question if we can do some grouping in the datagrid views like here: jqGrid Loading Data - Basic Grouping

It seems to be like the tree view of the datagrid, but without a parent/child relation, instead a field as group is used.

Has anyone done this already? Or is it possible in Preside with some simple tweaks?

Any idea welcome.

We’ve not implemented this anywhere. It will certainly be challenging with the pagination, etc. of the data grid and all the integrations with our filters, search + export.

Would certainly be cool though.
